I look forward to seeing you here in the beautiful Rockies, Doug Durward, owner
The focus of our tours is on the natural beauty offered by the Rocky Mountains of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Nevada rather than on hard days of technical riding. Terrain is widely varied – winding routes, ups and downs, tree lined tunnels, huge vistas that go on and on, fast stuff, slow stuff, hills, flats, mountains, deserts, forests, buttes. Our tours take place on BLM jeep roads, National Forest gravel and dirt roads, county roads and twisty highways. The average ride day is about evenly divided between paved and unpaved surfaces. Each day you're escorted by a guide. You don't need to consult a map or even a GPS distracting you from the real reason you're here – the experience! - the scenery! Each riding day we arrive at our lodging location by late afternoon giving you free time to spend as you wish. Soak in a hot tub, hike, explore a western town, tip a pint of local brew or for those who haven't had enough ….. more riding. Most lodging locations are near a fantastic paved twisty that you can ride on your own at your own pace. We've rated our tours for technical difficulty as follows: Dual Sport Beginner: An experienced street rider with some dirt experience is probably qualified. Mostly groomed surfaces. May include some moderate ruts or mud. No boulders. No steep nasty hills. No deep soft sand. No off-pavement experience? Get some. Have a buddy take you out on a dirt ride Dual Sport Intermediate:A moderate level of dirt experience is required. Much of the route is easy but does have sections of soft sand, softball size rock, moderate ruts and moderately steep hills. Dual Sport Advanced: Steep nasty boulder strewn hills. Deep ruts. Soft sand. We don't have any of these routes.Dual Sport Expert: You're probably a successful racer. We don't have any of these either.

The riding was incredible with some of the most amazing scenery! These guys are top notch and we were treated with great food, 5 star accommodations and a first rate staff. Would like to come back and try some of the other trails they offer. Worth every penny!
Doug and his staff definitely went the extra mile (or 1000 miles!) to make sure we were happy and comfortable, including cleaning the bikes, making sure we were well fed and even lighting a fire when we got caught in a snowstorm up in the mountains! Great time, great tour, great people.
Beartooth Pass is legendary but in spite of my already high expectations I was blown away. Every corner seemed to reveal a new and unique landscape of glacier-cut valleys and vistas. We were all quite happy with our experience with Black Wolf Mototours – highly recommended.
